So Much to Say...Gotta Type Fast

Well I've been MEANING to update my blog every night for the last few nights, but always get sidetracked, too tired, something else to do, etc. So here goes nothing!

First let me tell you about my morning...well, OUR morning to be exact. Last night we took the Excursion in for some work - a brake sensor that was faulty and kept making the brake light come on...a little unnerving! So this morning we had 8 people squished into the Commander. This was our schedule:

6:50 AM - Leave the house
7:00 AM - Drop Nick and Kaila off at daycare (they usually get there at 7:30)
7:25 AM - Drop Kyle and Brad off at school. Brad was leaving for 5th grade camp today. Today was also a late start for all the kids in the district. Thankfully my sister-in-law Traci was taking the other two boys to school, so...
7:35 AM - Drop Cory and Zach off at Traci's house
7:40 AM - Take Madi into daycare
7:50 AM - Arrive at work...which is located about 2 miles from my house, and it has now taken me an HOUR to get there!!!

But it went off without a hitch, honestly couldn't have gone better!

I went to lunch with Kandi today, to Bob Evans, where I indulged in an open face hot turkey sandwich with dressing and mashed potatoes. I love fall...the food just rocks!

Tonight Nick and Kaila were with their grandpa until 7:30. Kyle took Zach hunting. Brad is at 5th grade camp up north until Friday. So Madi, Cory, and I went to get Cory a new skateboard he has saved his money to buy, and then, because Madi insisted she wanted ice cream, we went to The Parlour. For non-Jackson people, this is THE place to get ice cream. I know, bad mom that I am, Madi ordered a scoop of cotton candy ice cream for dinner. Cory and I had grilled cheese. Madi had the waitress cracking up because here she is, 4 years old, eating her ice cream and taking bites of the pickle that came with my sandwich. Gross, I know, and the smell, well YUCK! But boy was she happy!

Monday morning Nick, Kaila, Madi, and I were talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up. Nick said he was going to be a principal. Kaila said she was going to be a teacher. And Madi pipes up and says she's going to be a momma and a rock star. That made me laugh...mostly because I was thinking, well, aren't all of us momma's rock stars in our own right? :)

So I'm off to watch the Tigers and make a couple of cards. Have a good night, and I'll try not to be such a slacker on the blogging action! Take care!

Thanks for the up-date. Even if you are a slacker, you are still my hero! I'm not sure how you do it all and still smile:) I hope Brad has a good time at camp and Madi reaches her dream of being a rock star (keep us posted). Love to all, Susan

Wow, I'm exhausted just reading this! After a morning like that, I think I'd let my kids order ice cream for dinner, too! ;-)

Keep smiling, lovely lady!

I can picture the Royal Hamlin Circus vehicle now.....just like the clown cars at the circus....they just keep piling out and you can't quite figure out how they all fit in there?!
