Wowza...
We're back to school people, and I'm TIRED! Super busy week at work also, and a short week that isn't long enough to get everything done. Trying to stay focused though and be HAPPY that tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! Let's catch ya all up to speed...
Kaila's birthday was Friday. We celebrated with Mom and Rex, the Bunker's, and Bob and Alice at Loomis Park. We had pizza and cake. Oh, forgot to mention that BEE's joined us also. Tons of them. Kind of made a game out of catching or slapping around the stupid fall bees. Ick. Anyway, Kaila had a ball, and loved all of the gifts and attention. Alice's daughter helped pick out the shirt below...it says, "I'm not trying to be fabulous, it just keeps happening!" Isn't that the truth. I think I'll see if they have on in my size LOL!

This was after her party on the way back to the campground. Brad was loving sticking his head out of the window and catching the breeze. Check out that hair!
My mom's birthday was Tuesday, so HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY Mom!! Good thing I called ON your birthday. :) Love ya!!!!!
Then Labor Day weekend was over and school started. Funny little story, Cory and Brad were bummed because they started Tuesday and Nick and Kaila didn't have to start until Wednesday. Nick and Kaila were bummed because our boys GOT to start on Tuesday and didn't have to wait. Madi was annoyed because everyone except her is going to school. And finally, Zach was happy. Yep, 1 out of 6. Not such a good percentage if you ask me!

And because everyone else was getting their picture taken...here's a shot of Mads. She starts school on 9/25.
Tuesday night Bob took Nick and Kaila to their open houses and our family of 6 went to help Kyle put up tree stands. The skies were awesome that night, and a little scary too. We saw a double rainbow. And lots of lightning and dark creepy clouds on our way home. I don't think we helped Kyle much, but it was nice to be outdoors after being cooped up at work all day.

I needed a nap just reading about your week! Loved the all the pictures, especially the rainbow, I've never seen anything like it. Hope the kids are all happy with their teachers and that Cory loves middle school (Em does). Just a thought to ponder, why is it that the unhappy campers always out number the happy ones? Love to all, Susan
oh man, i love that t-shirt of Kaila's!! how perfect. looks like fun, wish we could've been there.
love the back-to-school pics!
Great pics, Beth! I love the cupcake shot too!! :-)
The busy life has started- hoping I can catch up too...sleep, housework and WORK! Thinking the Loomis Park nap sounds great- we should plan a lunch date before the snow falls again!!
You're rockin', my daughter!!
Kids look fantastic and awesome pics!
Thanks for the birthday greetings and it WAS fantastic talking with both you AND Jill!
Love you!
Your lame friend is posting from work because the home computer is back in the shop. It STINKS!! Great pictures of the kids and glad to be back on schedules.....We have 4 days under our belts but it feels like 24. Oh, it's gonna' be a looooong year!
Beth, great pictures. The rainbow reminded me of one Judy and I saw at the airport just before we left Maui. This one might have even have that one beat! I'm so glad you're all well.
On a sad note, Heidi called me tonight to say Jacob is having a bone marrow biopsy on Tues. His blood platelet count has been dangerously low. The drs. thought at first it was a serious complication of mono that he's had this summer. He went in the UM Hosp. to get an IV to build up the platelets which helped for awhile. Then they dropped again, so the drs. put him on steroids. They go up and we get optimistic but then drop again. Heidi was so upset. All we can do is hope for the best.
Wow, that was a fantastic picture of the rainbow! Sounds like your week was busier than mine! Yikes! I can only imagine when my kids start school how crazy life will be!
Thanks for keeping so "up" about it--just your positive attitude, and the smile shining out of your profile picture, are enough to encourage me!
Sending you happy thoughts!
(Oh, and I want a shirt like Kaila's, too!)
