My How the Time Flies!
Funny, but this summer I kind of forgot how much paperwork 6 kids generate, and how many things there are to remember. Wow, am I remembering now! Lots going on in the Crazy Hamlin Household...so let's get you up to date!!
Friday I went scrapbooking with some of the girls from work. All of them are relatively new scrappers. Still had the same silly laughing going on though. Just something about women all getting together! I got 4 pages done, which I'll try to post sometime, but frankly am too tired to walk ALL THE WAY back downstairs to where my scrapping stuff landed when I got home that night!
Saturday Kyle and Gary helped the Tripp's move. So Jill and her kiddos came to my house and hung out for the day. We went to Hudson's Grill for lunch. A little crazy, everyone needs something all the time, but the kids totally enjoyed it and it seemed nice to go do something with them. Brad went to a birthday party, and Cory stayed the night at my mom's house.
Sunday Brad, Zach, Madi, and I went out to help Kyle put up tree stands for bow season which starts Sunday. The count down is on for Kyle. He LOVES hunting as much or maybe more than I love scrapping :) We left there, I baked a cake for Nick's birthday, we went to the boys football game, and then when we got home, Bob and Alice brought Nick and Kaila home from seeing Susan and we celebrated Nick's 9th birthday. He got walkie talkies from us, along with gifts from other relatives and $75 in birthday money. That made his day!
Finally, today Madi had preschool orientation, and tomorrow she starts with a full day. She does preschool from 8:15 to 11:15 AM and then goes to the latchkey program from 11:15 until I get out of work about 5:10. She's excited but nervous as heck. She's already declared she's going to cry, and I think she's right, but that what they all do!
I have a crappy cold. I haven't been sick in a long time with a cold, but this one has gotten me good. Oh well, I guess in the grand scheme of things it's not so bad, but I sure don't feel like doing much!
Love this picture...Zach's new wrestlers that he had to take a picture of to show his buddy Tyler at school. The mean mom, that would be me, wouldn't let him take them to school, so this will have to suffice.
Hope your week got off to a good start!!

i'm sorry you got a cold :( hope you're feeling better!!!
and i think you're a cool mom for at least taking a picture of the guys for Zach to show.
I have already lived though my first cold of the season (over Labor Day weekend) and signed up for my flu shot!
As for Zach: Your goal is to be a mean mom now, so that you have wonderful grown-up children that you can be friends with! Love you all, Susan
