The Weekend Update

What a weekend...no plans, but seems like I have lots to share!

Let's see, yesterday Kyle and I laid down at 4:00 for a nap. Z/N/K/M were in the trailer watching a movie. Apparently they were fighting like crazy, so Kyle got up without a nap. I however, never heard any of the above. I slept a two full hours, during which Kyle took the kids swimming. Zachary got to go into the deep end because he's swimming the length of the pool overhand and strong. Nick apparently was MAD! Before Kyle knew it, Nick was swimming like crazy...strong and fast. Kyle called him over to congratulate him and asked him how he did it. He said he just closed his eyes and asked God to help him do it. Oh, and he got MAD! :) How cool is that!!!

We had a nice, if wet, weekend at the campground. This morning was too rainy though, so we were home by 11:00. Kyle went to get groceries, and we both worked on laundry.

This afternoon was the boys first football game. Um, THEY ROCKED THE FIELD BABY!!! I know, they're only 12 and 10 (almost), but they did SOOOO good! They're names were announced constantly for tackles or carries. It was awesome! Cory is a captain this year, and works his butt off out there. Brad is still small enough to squeek through the defensive line occasionally, and fast enough to make some awesome tackles when no one else can catch the guy. Leila plays on their team also, that's the tomboy that Brad befriended last year. She was amazing on the offensive line. Tons of blocks and tackles. Her momma must have been proud. Anyway, the Spartans won 34-0. Go green!!

The obligatory picture in front of the tree :)

Heading off to battle...

Getting a play to run in...or at least I think!!

After the coin toss, Coach Floate giving the inspiration talking to Cory and the other captain!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I'm glad football is going so well. We sure do miss seeing the boys play so we really love the pictures! Tell them we are yelling for them from a distance. It must be universal, weekends are too short and somethings always go undone. Have a great week and give Zach and Nick a big Whoo hoo from South Carolina for a job well done. Love, ssh
