Update on the Homefront
Kyle's at class tonight. For some reason when he's gone, I either go one way or the other. The first way is out of control cleaning and organizing. The other is sitting on my butt unable to let go of the remote. Tonight was the first. Actually it still IS the first. I have laundry folded and in piles for the kids to bring upstairs tomorrow night (or if I get real ambitious, maybe I will). I have the living room floor all picked up so I'm going to vacuum and oh my gosh, CLEAN THE CARPET. I'm pretty much scared to sit down right now. It's GROSS. 8 people = a lot of traffic. I went through all the girls clothes, refolded, sorted, tossed, and reorganized their dresser drawers. That feels better! I think tomorrow night I will do the same with the boys. Still lots more to do, but I feel like I've got my groove back. For today anyway!
I also stopped drinking Coke today and started back on ice tea. Still not as good as water, but I have a pretty high caffiene need right now, and I don't have time to deal with nasty withdrawal headaches. SO, I went down this afternoon to the pop machine and grabbed a mountain dew because my tea was gone and I was bored. Yep, I'm a boredom eater. Well, took a couple of swigs, and man, that just didn't taste good! So I came home after work and poured myself a big glass of tea and made another big pitcher of it. Yum. Made the kiddos and I spaghetti for dinner. Then they played outside...that was NICE! I could work and not be interrupted. Kaila and Madi just got out of the tub and are laying in my bed with a fan blowing on them watching cartoons. Zach and Nick are showering as I type this. Then I'm sending them all UPSTAIRS so I can tackle my carpet. GO ME!!!

GO Beth Go!! Keep rolling down the road, make the corner and roll on down the hill...LOL Truly that is on our agenda for the week while I have no boys! Need to make room for the school clothes soon.
ok & then when you're done go scrap. ;)
Way to go Beth!! It always makes things feel soooo much better when they are neat and organized (could be the ocd talking though)
Nothing makes me feel better than to feel like (true or not) I have a handle on things around the house. It sounds like you have hold of the handle. ssh
