School's Out, School's Out

Isn't it supposed to be easier this week? OK, so I just need to get "caught up" from the last 6 weeks of baseball. Yep, sure that's going to happen! Had a sorta busy, sorta relaxing weekend. Went to baseball Friday night and then to a bonfire with our friends Art and Carrie. Saturday I cleaned and even managed to get the dining room carpet cleaned while Kyle took the kids to Traci's to see Betty and Herm (Susan Hamlin's parents). After that I took Madi and picked up Gram B and headed to Cathi's daughters open house. It was really nice, perfect! Afterwards I dropped Gram back off, went home and grabbed the kids and Kyle and we headed to the campground. Traci and Buddy and the kids came out. That is SOO nice because Zach and Brendan totally hang out and enjoy each others company, and Cody either hangs with Cory or Brad, and sometimes the whole group of 8 or so boys about that age hang out together. Sunday I sat on my bum as much as possible while Kyle left for a party for Art and got groceries. I read, sat, took a 1/2 hour nap, read some more, and hung out with the kids. It was awesome! Whew, there, I've caught you up on the weekend!

Tonight we had Cory's last regular season baseball game. Tomorrow Brad starts the playoff games, and Cory does on Thursday.

Oh, big news...Nick and Kaila left Friday night and went up to see Bobby with Bob and Alice. Totally awesome. They spent time with him Saturday and Sunday and drove home today. The kids hugged us when they got home, and are safely tucked in their beds here. Seems kind of good to have them back with us. I missed them. Yes, I even missed the additional chaos and noise they cause. They are sweeties that's for sure.

The other big news is that Kyle took Nick's stitches out tonight. Nick was brave, and Kyle had a steady hand. It was beyond healed, so I wasn't too worried. But I sure didn't want to help!! I just sat next to Nick talking to him and holding his hand. That's help enough!!
