Did You Think...
Did you think I ran away with the circus? Nope, I'm at HOME with the circus!! Things are great, just busy as ever here at the Hamlin household.
Saturday and Sunday TOTALLY ROCKED...couldn't have been much better truthfully. Gramps and Gram kept our four kids Saturday for most of the day, so while I was off scrapping with the ladies, Kyle had some time to himself also. We women had TOO much fun...there isn't much better in life than getting together with the girls and laughing so hard you may pee your pants or snort! There was a lot of snorting, I'm not sure about the peeing! We even took off on the golf cart to get a cool picture of ourselves...love this one - except blogger won't let me upload it, so maybe tomorrow....
Sunday afternoon I spent recouperating...laid around watching the Tigers with Kyle, then while he was in Heaven watching the Pistons I managed to get the house clean. I'm rolling my eyes here, because it was literally only clean while we slept. As I left the house Monday morning, it already was looking messy. Just think, if everyone leaves 1-2 things where they don't belong...CHAOS!
We spent Monday night at the ball field, just like tonight. Not the greatest game for either Cory or Brad's teams, but they're just starting, and hopefully soon they'll start to gel as teams. Zach had a couple of nice hits again tonight. He has to be the cutest little baseball player :)
Today I went to the child support meeting with the caseworker at the assistant prosecuting attorney's office family law division. It went fine, and I found out that they can't request child support from prisoners, and it was really just a formality to show that I tried to get support so that the state would be satisfied. Whatever...still a waste of my time, but that's the way it goes. I was just happy that they couldn't actually make Bobby and Susan pay, which would result in our family having to shell out even more money for them.
And finally for tonight...dandelion wishes! Last week one night, Nick wished upon a dandelion, and wished "for his mom and dad to come home and for everything to get back to normal." Another night last week, Madi wished "to be a princess." And this morning, Zach announced that he "wished for 30 wrestling guys (action figures), another grandpa and grandma for everyone, and a football." Just funny how each kid is thinking so differently, and interesting that my kids are wishing for such normal every day things, and Nick's wish could rip your heart out. I told him that I wished for the same thing for him, and some day it would come true. Gave him a hug, and he went back to the playground happy. Not much else you can do I suppose!
Well, time for me to snooze...three more busy days ahead. Tomorrow I'm having lunch with my Grandma, my dad's mom. I don't see her often enough, and I am SO looking forward to it. Have a good night all!!

those dandelion wishes are the cutest from Zach & Madi, & of course Nick's just tears at your heart. you are doing great at keeping everything together :) ummm, can ya bill the state for your wasted lunch hour?! wouldn't that be nice!
I'm with Jill, you should bill the state...not really, but I might send them a letter explaining that their satisfaction had cost you time and money and you wish they were held as accountable for their "business decisions" as you were...or something like that! We have dandelions on steroids around here, just think of the wishes!!! Love to all, ssh
Can't wait to see the pictures...we did have a blast. Thanks again for being such a great hostest. When is our trip in June?
Have you jotted those dandelion wishes down...for a scrapbook page...oh I can see it in the works. :-)
My dandelion wish...no more allergies that go with the sspring pollens and dandelions. :-)
Glad the meeting came out so well, or so to speak.
Thanks again for the awesome scrappin getaway! It was a blast. Love to do it again sometime soon.
