Bathroom Issues
Nope, this isn't about poop, pottie, nothing like that. Most of you know that we have 8 people in our home. What you may not know is that we have O N E bathroom. Yep, one. That's right! Believe it or not, we don't run into many issues with overlapping needs, and seem to have a pretty good system in place.
However, last night my husband, from here on out known as the Twilight Handyman, decided at 8:00 PM to pull the plumbing for the tub drain. First let me just say that he decided at 8:00 PM on a Sunday night in January some years back to install sliding glass doors in my mudroom...he cut a 6 foot gaping hole in my mudroom wall at 8:00 at night!!! Thus, the TWILIGHT HANDYMAN was born. Anyway, back to the bathroom...it is old and the tub is stuck in the middle of one long wall, and there was no access to the plumbing. The thingy you flip to either hold water in the tub or drain it rusted right off. This happened like a month ago, but we're busy, and decided we could live with showers for a while. Well, at 8:00 the Twilight Handyman took off for Lowe's to get some replacement plumbing pieces, and returned at 10:15 and asked, "Are ya ready to help me?" I think I might have looked at him like he was drunk. I love this man. And I love that he was willing to just jump in to get it fixed. But I was not loving that it was 10:15, and the chances were fairly high that I wouldn't have a shower the next morning!
Well, that was the case, it didn't get fixed last night. But today boy, after doing some thinking today, the Twilight Handyman got that baby fixed, and fast! I wrote this on the wall, which he still hasn't seen! Gotta replace that piece anyway, so might as well make a laugh when you can! Now, I'm off to take a seriously hot bath. The kids are in bed, and Kyle isn't back from softball yet. Thank you honey for fixing the tub...even if I did have to sponge bathe this morning!

I know where he gets it from!!! I needed a good laugh after sitting through two hours of a tap/jazz/ballet recital (that has to be done all over again tomorrow night). Bob went to dance tonight and I think that means I'm on my own tomorrow. I have to go finish a final exam for my two graduating seniors to take in the morning. Love to all, ssh
Yep, thought it was a trait he inherited from a certain father-in-law of mine :) Gotta love those Hamlin MEN!
heh heh, i'm cackling here.
can you hear me?!
i'm glad it's fixed!
That is a dandy hole in the wall...glad the problem is solved. Maybe he was drunk if it took him 2 hours to get to Lowe's...hmmm?!
