Random Thoughts From My Noggin...

Wow, lots of random things to post...no cohesive theme, just everyday insanity :)

First, Bradley has his first appointment with the eye doctor today. He's been having trouble seeing the board at school, so today we visited Gregory Optical. He is apparently quite nearsighted, and that, it seems, is HEREDITARY! Hmmm...wouldn't be from ME! The doctor said to thank his Dad when he got home! So Bradley got to select a pair of glasses today, and hopefully they will be ready late this week, or at the latest Monday. This is good news because that boy was STRUGGLING to see letters I thought for sure he'd be able too. Poor kid! He's totally excited about the glasses though, and even is planning to wear them during baseball. He looks mighty handsome with them on...pictures will be posted FOR SURE!

Next, as I was making dinner tonight, buttering up bread for grilled cheese sandwiches, I heard the following from the other room:
  • "Madi, you don't have to hit me in the head with a sledgehammer" - this was Zach referring to this blow up sledgehammer the boys brought home from the Piston's game.
  • "Na na na na boo boo, stick your hand in doo doo" - Nick was singing this one, but all of the kids have been heard singing it before!

Madi is officially POTTY TRAINED! Now, she's been potty trained for some time, but now she is wearing "big girls" at night and so far so good...yippee!!!

Wednesday I'm going to look at a preschool for Madi this fall. It's located at Joey's Junction, a daycare/respite care center in the old Jackson Medical Care Facility on Lansing Ave. This will be the first year they have preschool. If all checks out, it'll be incredibly convenient, I can drop Madi off after I drop Nick and Kaila off at their daycare. Also, she can go 4 days from 8:15-11:15, and then stay there and go to their daycare for the rest of the afternoon. I'm thinking maybe she'll go to Bonnie's on Friday, that way she'll still get to see her weekly. Wow, my baby is going to be starting school...I can't believe how quickly time has flown!

Tonight Kyle and I finally watched "Walk the Line"...great movie! I loved it! Also, yesterday I finished my 9th book for 2006. Kyle has been working his butt off around the house while on spring break, so I took a little advantage of that and read all day yesterday. Our house is a pig sty...stay away...but I'm happy :)

Tomorrow night I'm taking Nick and Kaila to see their momma...more about that tomorrow! Nighty night!!

I can't wait to see the very handsome Bradley in his new glasses. Emily just loves being able to see! It sounds like everyone is having a nice break. We wish you were here, the flowers are in full bloom and the wisteria is soooo sweet smelling you can smell it just standing out in the yard. Madi in school, I can't believe it!!! ssh
