Manic Monday!!
It's just another manic Monday...wish it were Sunday!
Started off my day with JURY DUTY! Didn't get picked for the jury, they only needed 15 to seat the jury, and I wasn't needed. So I was back to work by 11:30.
Kyle called me with a report on Kaila's doctors appointment. It seems she has water behind the eardrum of her left ear. We are getting a prescription filled for an antibiotic, which they think will get rid of the fluid, and then go back to see Dr. Kornak on May 11.
I am getting a BIG tool for running our BIG family...a Ford Excursion!! We found a 2000 Ford Excursion, almost by accident, and will be getting it tomorrow. We finished up financing today. I can not wait to drive the family vehicle and am looking forward to stocking the back with containers of things to do, snacks and drinks, and having a spot to keep the boys current sports equipment. I'll post a picture tomorrow!
Susan sent Nick and Kaila bookmarks she cross-stitched for each of them with their names on them. Boy were they excited. I think I'll probably get frames for them and put them near their beds...that way they'll be safe!
I'll leave you with these from yesterday...

I love spring!!

can't wait to see a picture of the new truck :)
& glad to hear Kaila's ear thing isn't too serious.
It sounds like you have everything under control and I know you will get a lot of use out of the new vehicle, one that everyone and everything can fit into. Glad to hear Kaila's ear problem should be an easy fix. The pictures are great fun, I don't know what it is about bubbles but everyone seems to have fun with them! ssh
Hi, I have been reading your blog for a while now, lurking and not commenting for fear of being uninvited. But, I guess if we wanted our affairs to be private, we wouldn't blog.
From what I have read so far, I love your heart, and wish I could know you in person. Like you, I am a busy mom, and an avid scrapbooker. You are welcome to visit my blog if you want to see who I am.
I just wanted to comment--when I was nine, my aunt cross-stitched a bookmark for me with my name and a little teddy bear on it. I put it in my Bible, which gets frequent use. So I see it a LOT! It is no longer white, and maybe not as pretty as when I got it, but every time I see it, it reminds me of my aunt and the love that went into making it for me. Even though I was only nine, I knew to take special care of it.
Perhaps the kids have an equally special, well-used book that they could use theirs in? That way, they could carry the reminder of their mom with them every day, instead of only seeing it at night when they are going to bed. It might be kind of like carrying a hug. Just an idea from someone not in the situation, and not qualified to decide.
Bless you! I hope this comment was not unwelcome.
Oh my gosh, a comment not from a family member or close friend...I'm excited! Scrapnqueen, thanks for the post! I think I'm going to figure out something to put their bookmarks in that they can attach to their backpacks...maybe make them a zipper pull type thing, that way, they can have them all the time! thanks for the idea!!!
