Victory...

“Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more.” --Louis L’Amour

We got Nick's report card yesterday and had his parent/teacher conference tonight. We are seeing some small successes! Nothing HUGE, and by no means perfect, but every aspect has improved slightly. His behavior for the most part is good, just a couple tings we need to work on. The special ed teacher told us that he is happy plodding along, which made me smile because he and Kaila act like there is no urgency in anything, and I'm always going 90 miles an hour! So we need to work on SPEED :)

Dad watched the kids (except Cory who went with Steve Barton to shooting tonight - thank you Steve!) while Kyle and I went to the conference, so we TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIM, and grabbed a quick ice cream cone and spent a few minutes talking about our day and the kids. Aaaah, it's the few stolen moments that put things in perspective! Thanks Dad!! :)

I could have used some ICE CREAM...may have been a little melted by the time you got it to Hillsdale though. Congrats on making headway with Nick. It will all fall into place eventually.
