Nothing New, Exciting, or Otherwise
Took the night off last night. Didn't cook. Didn't clean. Didn't do laundry. Didn't load the dishwasher. However, I did...enjoy laughing and talking with Kyle, read, watch American Idol (I'm officially hooked), doze off for a nap before going to bed :) Talk about an awesome night. Kyle and I were both SO relaxed and well rested that we were both up at 5:30 this morning making plans for our insane day, and then decided before 6 (which is almost unheard of) to get up and get moving. Made for a great morning too. The boys had late start, so I took Nick and Kaila to daycare (Cory walked Mads over to Bonnie's), dropped the boys off at Traci's, stopped to pick up drycleaning, stopped at Sunrise Express for iced tea, and was still at work by 7:50.
Tonight we...are you ready? Hold on tight, here goes...we threw food at the kids - taco night, Kyle took Cory shooting, I took the rest of the kids, dropped the four youngest off at Dad's where Susan called to talk to Nick and Kaila, ran Brad to basketball practice at Bean Elementary in Spring Arbor, stopped by Polly's to pick up a few groceries to get us through the week, Kyle dropped Cory off at home, Kyle went out to pick Brad up from practice, I went back to Dad's to get the rest of the kids and came home to help Nick and Zach study spelling words and math facts, and sent the girls to bed early for being whiny and crybaby-ish. I cleaned up the kitchen, which was a monster fright after not doing anything last night, and some of the living room while watching the guys on American Idol, and now I am off to read and hit the hay.
Work is CRAZY, I have a sales meeting that I plan (this one is in Columbus, OH) and have to accumulate and assist with all of the PowerPoint presentations, I have my favorite surcharges due next week which means customers have already started calling to see if I can predict the future and tell them what the surcharges will be, and we have a Japanese culture training session the following week and a trade show the first week in April. In there somewhere I actually try to be an assistant to Rick - that really doesn't happen very often, and get my "regular" work done. You know though, I do love it. i was thinking this morning how happy I am with my job. Of course, could have been the good nights sleep I was running on.
Boy, for nothing new or exciting, or otherwise, I can sure ramble. That's the Strawser side coming out in me :) Good night all!!!
