Nothing Exciting AT ALL!!!
Well, nothing new and exciting to report today, and I mean NOTHING! But ya know what? We'll take it! I'm so tired of drama, sickness, crabbiness, etc., we'll take a plain old day!! Tonight Kyle made his yummy scrambled eggs (read: extra cheesy) that the kids all love for dinner, which was awesome because while he was doing that, I was cleaning up the kitchen and loading the dishwasher. We're averaging about a load and a half a day using the dishwasher! I need more cups, bowls, and plates!! Think I'll be picking up some cheapies this weekend!
After dinner Kyle left for a choir concert and Cody's last hockey game, and I took the kids over to Dad's where Susan called to talk to Nick and Kaila. They both had great conversations with her, so much so that I only had about 4 minutes to talk to her!! But that's AWESOME, they were both VERY chatty. We set up plans for our next phone call, and I'm planning on taking the kids to see her on her birthday.
Susan is doing great - she tutors every morning Monday through Friday, and then goes to her auto mechanics class every afternoon. She also goes to a Women's Empowerment group two Monday's a month. I'm proud of her for taking the time she has and doing POSITIVE things with it. I know she misses her kids like crazy, but she thanks me every time I talk to her, and reminds them how much she loves them whenever they talk or see each other.
An update on the spelling list mishaps with Nick - last week he only missed one on his test, but today he forgot his list. SO, early bedtime tonight, and tomorrow he promises to bring it home. UGH! It's always something! Kaila is doing great, bringing home the little beginner reading books most nights, and is really learning to read (that's my FAVORITE thing that they "get" - reading!). Zach had a spelling list tonight, so we made a deal, I'd quiz him on the words verbally, and he only had to write the ones he missed - he got them all right :) He's so stinking cute when he's thinking too! Brad and Cory are the big men here - no homework most nights, just hanging out, helping with chores, and eating more than their fair share for dinner! They are both such good boys, and make me proud daily.
Well, kind of wordy for a boring "nothing exciting" post, but wanted to give a heads up on all that's going on. Tomorrow is registration for baseball for Cory, Bradley, and Zach, Cory has a birthday party to go, and Brad has basketball practice. Yeeeehaaaw! Sounds like another FUN night spent in a vehicle :) Love to you all!!

I spent the evening working with Kraig on his "Family History" project. I can't believe the amount of time it takes. Tonight was scrappin' pictures for the darn thing. I don't think I'll ever have the urge to scrap again.
maybe you should get a Winnebago so you can have a mobile family unit??!
i was just thinking tonight that i shoulda asked you to fill us in on what your kids were up to, i love hearing about your boys and can't believe how grown-up they're getting. thanks for the fix!!
sounds like everyone is doing fine but I can't believe the big kids don't have much homework! Em is jealous, she has at least 30 minutes a night and often more. We just finished the science fair project...if you ever want a child to learn to hate science...love to all. ssh
