The Silver Lining

Yesterday was Aunt Ginkie's funeral. Not the happiest of days for my grandparents, especially my Gram, I'm sure. However, if there is a silver lining to be found, and anyone who knows me knows I'm pretty good about finding the silver lining, it has to be that all 5 of their kids were home this weekend - for the first time in 15 years!

Last night after work I took the 6 kids out to the Bunker's. Jill and her two came also. Mom was there, Rex stopped by for a while, Bill and Ana, Uncle Steve, Uncle Tom and Diana, and Uncle Larry. It was SO MUCH FUN! With two uncles in Atlanta and one in Milwaukee, the opportunities for everyone to get together happen very few and far between.

Here are a few shots of the evening...

Me and Gramps

Cory and Gram

Bill, Brad, and Gram. I love this picture because Bill is KNOWN for not being in a picture, hiding his face, etc. It's one of the things I remember about being out at their house all the time, he always hid his face...and Brad is too :)

Mom, Kaila, Diana, Mads, and Uncle Steve

Uncle Steve, Cory, and Uncle Larry

More pics to come...

Oh Beth- what an awesome night! That is great that you were able to gather with them all...even if the reason for the gathering was not the most pleasant...you made some awesome memories for so many to hold on to.

lots of great pictures! it was fun, a little surreal for me since it's been FOREVER since a visit like that. but GOOD nonetheless!! see, I know there's a reason why I'm always calling you during the day...if I'd not called you I wouldn't have gone last night! Hmmm, divine intervention??!

I'm so blessed with daughters as awesome as you two (Susan too!); I'm so very happy that we ALL were able to spend time together. No one has a "perfect" family but just gathering in one location, one day will always be remembered!

Thanks for posting the pics, Beth.

You could feel the huge amount of love in that house Monday night! Aunt Ginkie would have loved it, you know?
