Susan

Well, Dad and I finally went to see Susan. What a humbling experience...and I think I have problems? She didn't know who had come to see her, and when she saw us she seemed surprised. We had a good visit, really, and just talked and laughed our butts off. We stayed for 2 hours, which truthfully was longer than either of us thought we'd stay. Time flew by though, we were so involved in our conversation. Her sense of humor is still the same, we made sick jokes about the circumstances and situations in our family just like always. I left knowing that I missed her a ton, and that I'm going to try to do a better job giving her things to look forward to. I plan to send her some cash, as she's down to 11 cents! I plan to send her some books for Christmas. I plan to make my kids write her (and me too). And once I have her kids, I plan to send her their school papers on occasion, take tons of pictures to send her, and anything else I can think of. She's where she is supposed to be, getting punished for what she's done, and I understand that. But after last night, I realized that she's still my sister, the goofy, funny, emotional, loving sister that she's always been...

I know that you are glad to have that first visit behind you and it certainly does help you put everything in perspective. ssh
